How to recognize a genuine rich bazin fabric: advice from MAMA Getzner
During our travels in Africa, we observed that many counterfeit Bazin Getzner® fabrics were being sold in the markets. These fabrics are often cheaper and of very poor quality because they are not produced by Getzner®. We also found counterfeit products being sold online. Now that you have been warned, we will explain how to recognize a REAL RICHE bazin.

The Getzner bazin has the distinction of being double-sided, meaning that the patterns are visible from both sides of the fabric.

Genuine bazin riche lasts longer. It retains its shine and texture even after several washes. Fake bazin fades after the first wash.

The rich Getzner bazins have a very particular fragrance: the scent of roses.

The finishes on Getzner bazin fabrics are unique in the world. Made in Getzner factories, the machines used are unique. Counterfeit bazin has frayed edges...

The real rich bazin has a width of 160cm, that's why this bazin is nicknamed the XL bazin.
This eliminates the need for additional fabric when making boubous. Less fabric is required because the width is sufficient.
